Season 3 Discussion/Feedback

Hi guys,

I would like to have a meeting (grouped by Timezones) in TS to discuss how Season 3 went. It started off really well but halfway through the Divisions the wheels fell off. This was a surprise for me and I would like to hear your thoughts about it.

Can we meet in our TS at the following times:

US Timezone : Sunday evening (9 Sept)
(East Coast ) : 6pm
(West Coast ) : 9pm
[This is 11:00am Monday (EST) in Australia]

European Timezones : Sunday Noon (9 Sept)
GMT +0 (not including Daylight Savings) : 12:00 noon
[This is 10:00pm Sunday (EST) in Australia]

A few proposals to improve things:

1) The Race for the next season will start at the same time as the Divisions for the current season. That way, there will be ample opportunity to fly.

2) The Division matches would be set by a fixture to force steady progress. Matches that are not completed on-time will be voided and not count towards the overall points score (or Defaulted if one player is not available).

3) Schedule the seasons so they don't clash with public holiday periods (eg. summer time). A calender would need to be compiled, and then agreed to by the players.

I think Summer time is a problem for the league. A lot of people are doing other things at this time. The winter keeps them close to the computer.

I didn't notice the Sunday meeting until too late. How was the turn-out?

I like the calendar idea, we would need input from people around the world so they could let us know what holiday's their country takes.

There are a lot of pilots who should be in the top division who are not there. There needs to be a way to keep the better pilots in the division they should be in. Last season's rankings etc...

As for me looks like I need to drop down 1 division, but I'll be back.

Unfortunately no one showed up to the meetings I requested.

As such;
I am still unclear as to why there was such a drop off in flying during August.
It leaves me to make the decisions, and I will not entertain any complaints.

sry for not beeing there since the ladder seemd to be sleeping i wasent very active here ..
anyway i think that those who sew that thier loose is coming just stoped flying .

i recomand an old way of competition such as the pyramid at the past.
random fights between random players which will get it to difrent place.
always the expirenced players tooked a fresh rookie and kicked his ass.
i say do it random so the level at the first stage will be even.

at the second stage players which was "active" but not active enogh to fly blocked others form flying all thier games.
there for as for every competition there is i recomand time limite for each game so the competition will be runing and not slowley walking.

hope this season will be better for us all.
